Selection to the Vedica Program at ASC requires a completion of twelve years of elementary and secondary education. This implies qualifying in class 12th examination or junior college as applicable. The acceptable degrees include: Indian School Certificate, Intermediate Certificate, Higher School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, All India Senior School Certificate.
You will receive a BA in Liberal Arts from Agnes Scott College at the end of the four-year undergraduate programme.
It is not compulsory to major in Business Management under the Vedica Programme at ASC. Students at this Programme – referred to as Vedica Scotties – are allowed to select a double major on top of the Business Management major. The concentration in Contemporary India has been exclusively crafted for the Vedica Scotties at this Programme and is therefore compulsory. This concentration will broadly cover courses in Indian Political Economy, Indian Public and Foreign Policy, Understanding Gender and Leadership in India, and Development and Democracy to provide Vedica Scotties with an understanding of complex global issues to become effective strategic and global leaders.
As a BA in Liberal Arts student at ASC, you are allowed to choose to study the Dual-Degree in Engineering (https://www.agnesscott.edu/academicadvising/dual-degree-engineering.html). However, you will not be eligible for the Vedica Scholarship since the Bachelors in Science will be awarded from Georgia Institute of Technology.

To initiate your application process for the Programme, register on our website by filling up the ‘Know More’ box in order to receive a Google Form (to be filled with basic personal details).

You are required to fill up the Common Application Form, select Agnes Scott College as your preference, and proceed to answering all questions on the application form. The form includes the Writing Section of the Common App, as well as detailed personal and academic records. Applicants are advised to attempt the Common Application in a comprehensive manner to showcase all their strengths and uniqueness as an applicant. In addition, the student must request their School Counselor/Principal/Class Teacher for a recommendation, as well as a subject teacher.

The deadline for filling up the Common Application Form is 15th May 2017.

Once an application is complete, applicants should hear an admission decision within four weeks.
Only 10 candidates from across India will be awarded the Vedica Scholarship of $20,000 per year for the Vedica Programme at ASC, commencing August 2016. This scholarship is fixed in USD for four years.
The Vedica Programme at ASC will provide each Vedica Scottie with curated internships in their preferred sectors in India as well as in the US through their four-year undergraduate programme. In addition, students will also receive one-on-one mentorship from inspiring role models in the US and support for summer internships and eventual career placement in India.
The annual fee for an undergraduate programme at ASC will be: $49,992 (Tuition $38,232; Room and board $11,520 and Student activity fee $240)

The total annual fee payable by a Vedica Scottie (including tuition, accommodation and meals) will be: $30,000, post the Vedica Scholarship of $20,000 per year.

There are additional fees for: health insurance, books, travel, and personal expenses that students should be prepared to pay.

Fall semester payment is due August 1 and Spring semester payment is due December 15.

Agnes Scott College has been ranked one of the top 20 women’s colleges in the US (http://www.bestcolleges.com/features/top-womens-colleges/) and rank 67 in the overall US News and World Report (http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/agnes-scott-college-1542). ASC has also been ranked #2 for the number of undergraduates who eventually earn doctoral degrees in economics, according to a report (http://as.vanderbilt.edu/econ/) compiled by the Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University.
SAT scores are not a mandatory requirement to apply to this Programme.
ASC requires all applicants whose first language is not English to adequately demonstrate English competency as a part of the application process. Students may demonstrate competency by submitting scores from TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System). Our institution requires a total score of 80 or higher on the TOEFL Internet-based test and an overall band score of a 6.0 or higher on the IELTS.

Alternatively, as long as the student has completed their education in an English Medium institution for the last four years of their high school they are not required to submit TOEFL or IELTS scores.

The Vedica Programme at ASC is only open to applicants who have currently appeared for their 12th grade Board Examinations. The option of credit waivers may be available at the discretion of the institution, but the Vedica Scottie will need to join the Programme starting from the First Year.
There is no application fee for applying to Agnes Scott.
Candidates who apply for the Vedica Programme at ASC will not be eligible to apply for tuition waivers over and above the Vedica Scholarship of $20,000 per year (amounting to a total scholarship amount of $80,000 over four years).
