Achievement-oriented women with an undergraduate degree are eligible to apply for The Vedica Scholars Programme. We encourage fresh graduates as well as candidates with work experience to apply to Vedica.

The selection of a Vedica Scholar will be finalised after a series of evaluative steps. Applicants must submit an online application form including personal and professional details. The first step includes shortlisting the application followed by an online video interview. Each aspect of the application and the interview is important and will help the Vedica panel make their decision. Candidates will be assessed for their verbal, written and analytical skills, their attitude and aptitude to benefit from the unique learning experience at Vedica.

The accommodation fee at Vedica includes the rent for an air-conditioned hostel room on a twin-sharing basis, electricity bills, internet bills, housekeeping services and all other utilities. It also includes three catered meals a day. The accommodation fee is valid for the entire duration of the course.

Delhi residents will be called for an in-person interview. If you are not a resident of Delhi, we will arrange for a telephonic google meet interview. However, we encourage our prospective Scholars to visit the campus, meet the team and gain a better understanding of the Programme.

The interview intends to explore your previous experiences (both academic and extra-curricular); your career aspirations; what attracts you to Vedica; your familiarity with current affairs, economic and socio-political news; trends in the business and corporate world; your other interests; and aspects of your personal/family life.

Vedica offers Scholarships on a need, merit, and diversity basis with emphasis given to need-based cases.

• Need Based - A candidate comes under this category if their family income is low/financials are not stable/family financial status doesn't qualify for a loan.
• Merit Based - Merit-based aid is evaluated on the academic/extracurricular achievements of the applicant.
• Diversity Based - Diversity-based aid is evaluated at the admissions team's discretion.

You can apply for scholarships after submitting your signed acceptance letter and initial security deposit, which secures your seat in the programme. Write to the admissions team once you are done with this to get the scholarship process started.

You will be required to apply for the scholarship by providing the following details:

• Annual Income statement of your family unit
• Details of your educational background (schools/colleges you've studied in, academic qualifications)
• Details of any extra-curricular activities
• Cover letter stating need for scholarship (not more than 400 words)

No. The Vedica Scholars Programme for Women believes that the principles of general management are essential for a successful career supplemented by 21st century competencies such as communication, critical thinking and leadership. Our curriculum combines these elements. The academic design is carefully tailored to more than meet the demands of employers today, and to that extent provides our Scholars an advantage over their peers.

Vedica offers comprehensive placement support and an assured placement to every Scholar. We have had a consistent track record of 100% placements across all batches with Scholars working in diverse sectors, industries and roles. The average placement to 11 Lacs, while the highest has been 22 Lacs. Our average increase in salaries for work-ex candidates is ~200%. The Programme was structured to incorporate all the courses that a conventional one year MBA-programme would teach – and in addition allow time for our parallel tracks on liberal arts, communications and critical thinking and personal growth. The 18-month period allows enough time for Scholars to transform, but is also time and resource efficient. This structure also allows a 6-month overlap between two batches, to facilitate peer-learning and the formation of alumnae networks.

This was a deliberate decision by the founders of Vedica. Given its very distinct offering, affiliation to a university system would constrict the innovative possibilities of the Programme. Also, we follow a visiting-faculty model that allows us to invite academics from excellent institutions in India and abroad and practitioners with industry experience. University affiliation would require changing our curriculum as well as faculty models. Ours is not a conventional MBA but a truly reimagined Programme.

At Vedica, we have identified areas that are considered strengths for women as well as those that need attention to succeed in the workplace based on research and employer feedback. We focus on these aspects of personal growth through the 18 months of the Programme. Each Scholar is encouraged to discover her authentic style and then equipped to succeed in their preferred career. Typically, these include networking, visibility, negotiation skills, and assertiveness among others. Our all-women’s environment encourages Scholars to express themselves and their aspirations without any constraints of conditioning and gender biases which leaves them far more confident to succeed in the workplace.

The Liberal Arts track includes courses in economics, philosophy, gender studies, environment and sustainability, corporate law and ethics, among others. In today’s world, it is critical to understand the context for your organisation, sector and role in order to be a well-rounded management professional. Our Liberal Arts and Critical Thinking tracks ensure that a Vedica Scholar brings a unique perspective and skillset to enhance her managerial expertise and contributes effectively to her workplace.

The campus for The Vedica Scholars Programme is located at the Clarion Collection (Qutab Hotel), Shaheed Jeet Singh Marg, New Delhi, located behind the campus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. A beautiful and green space in South Delhi, it has resources and facilities easily accessible to all students.

The residential building for Vedica is one kilometre away from the campus at Katwaria Sarai, a hub of student living. A well-equipped and secure living space is provided to students on a twin-sharing basis, equipped with ACs and Geysers and with meals provided three times a day.

Each hostel room comes with the following facilities:

• Twin sharing rooms with each room having a split AC
• An attached bathroom with a built-in Geyser
• Two single beds
• Two study tables
• A big double-door cupboard with locks
• A side table
• Unlimited supply of Wifi and electricity - taken care of by the institute with 24*7 access to IT support

Each hostel comes with the following amenities:

• The hostels have a dedicated mess area for scholars to eat their freshly prepared meals
• All hostels have common washing areas with washing machines in them
• The hostels are physically manned by a warden and guard in addition to the housekeeping staff for the safety and upkeep of the scholars' living environment, 24*7

Located at a distance of 10 kilometres from the Indira Gandhi International airport, travel via Uber/Ola/Meru Cabs will take you 30 minutes from the airport to the campus. For those travelling via the Delhi metro, you will have to board at the Terminal 1 IGI metro station, navigate the metro till the Munirka (violet line), Hauz Khas (yellow line) or Malviya Nagar stations (yellow line) and finally take public transport to reach the campus. Expected travel time via this option is anywhere between 60-75 minutes.

Given the rigour of the 18-month programme, we encourage all Scholars not to take up any part-time work. Internship opportunities are offered to all interested students during the tenure of the programme.

Peer-learning is an important part of the Vedica experience. Residential life fosters learning and living with diversity. It is through this exposure to experiences and stories — stories of other young women — that a Vedica Scholar becomes aware of the need for supportive alliances. Additionally, living away from home instills in Scholar a much-needed sense of independence.
