Currently residing in Kolkata, Asmita has completed her 10th and 12th from the Cathedral and John Connon School, Mumbai. She then went on to do her Bachelor's in Psychology from Sophia College, Mumbai University. At Sophia, she was a part of an extensive and unique research based program called the Excellence in Arts Program (EXAP) during the course of which she wrote and presented 3 research papers.

During her high school and undergraduate years, she has interned/volunteered with various organisations such as the International Journal of Neurolinguistics and Gestalt Psychology (IJNGP), With Love We Care, Touching Lives and also taught underprivileged students at various NGOs.

A mental health advocate, intent listener, music lover, travel enthusiast and food connoisseur, Asmita truly believes in the power of diversity and inclusion and feels that India is at the cusp of mega transformation.
