The Sheela Sinha Sankalp Scholarship embodies a resolute commitment to transforming the lives of underserved girls from Bihar. Named in honor of Late Smt. Sheela Sinha, this scholarship represents a profound resolve to catalyse positive change through education.
Through the Sheela Sinha Sankalp Scholarship, we want to nurture the dreams and ambitions of resilient women from Bihar to overcome their circumstances, fulfill their aspirations, and emerge as leaders.
Vedica will offer one 100% scholarship of INR 15.5 lacs in each of its cohort.
About Smt. Sheela Sinha
Smt. Sheela Sinha (1931-2022) was a lifelong resident of Patna, Bihar. Initially educated at home, she later pursued her graduation at Patna Women’s College. A devoted and compassionate social worker, Smt. Sheela Sinha dedicated her life to supporting women and other underserved groups.
Her impactful leadership extended to spearheading the Bihar Council of Women and the Bihar chapter of the All India Women’s Conference. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in her husband's literary and publishing endeavors. In the realm of education, she co-founded the Prarambhika School in Patna and served as a guiding force for her four children.
Smt. Sinha reveled in the company of youngsters and embraced adventure. Her curiosity and enthusiasm were evident as she closely followed the Vedica Scholars Programme for Women. Her legacy stands as a testament to a life committed to service, leadership, and the nurturing of both family and societal well-being. Above all, she exemplified a tremendous zest for life.
Eligibility
- Candidate must have Bihar as their domicile.
- Candidates can apply for the scholarship upon receiving an offer letter from Vedica
- Candidates with annual family income below 4 Lacs are eligible to apply for the Scholarship
Process
- Send an email on admissions@vedicacscholars.com requesting for The Sheela Sinha Sankalp Scholarship (SSSS). Your email body should have a letter (min 200 words) explaining why you deserve this scholarship.
- After reviewing your letter, the admissions team will send you a google form to submit the following information:
- Proof of Domicile (Aadhar Card/Voter ID)
- Family details: Full names with occupation details
- ITR of all earning members in the family
- Next step will be a video interview with Pramath Raj Sinha (Co-Founder, Vedica).
- You will receive the final decision within 10 days of your scholarship interview.
